No matter how great the life of celebrities may seem from afar, there is no doubt that there are certain aspects of life that most people just do not want to be part of. Stalkers would have to be firm on top of that list. Selena Gomez, also known as the star of Wizards of Waverly Place and Justin Bieber be girlfriend, is the latest celebrity that young people have to deal with the very real danger of a stalker who is obsessed with her. A California judge issued a temporary restraining order against Thomas Brodnicki, stating that Brodnicki can not get within 100 yards of Gomez, at any time. To expire at a hearing on November 4, at which time the judge is expected to extend the restraining order for another 3 years.

In an affidavit in connection with the case, Gomez said that this person is in "extreme fear" of Brodnicki. Health workers who had been treating the 46-year-old Brodnicki contact the state police after the man made comments about harming or killing Selena Gomez. States that have traveled from Chicago to Los Angeles to find the actress and reportedly visited the studios where he works at least three times. Brodnicki has a history of stalking and making criminal threats, prompting Unit LAPD threat management to take over the case.

Brodnicki told a psychiatric worker had several conversations with God to kill Selena Gomez. He was picked up for about a month and undergoes a psychiatric evaluation regarding an unrelated incident in which Brodnicki was on the street, threatening to wipe the eyes of passersby.
